Key responsibilities:

• Carry out safety rounds of all areas to watch any unsafe act/unsafe condition and advise to concern person/department for improvement of safety practices.
• Conduct training to employees and workers.
• Ensure work permit system in place with 100% compliance.
• Co-ordination for departmental safety committee meetings and follow up for implementation of action items.  
• Ensure timely investigation of all incidents and follow up for implementation of action items.
• Follow up to ensure timely closure of employees’ safety concerns.
• Conduct EHS audits and walkthroughs.
• Conducting safety committee meetings to enhance participation of staff and workers in safety management.  
• Ensure EMS ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems guideline implementation.
• To promote safety culture by safety talks with employees and workers at workplace, display safety posters, distribution of safety literature etc.  
• Co-ordination for engagement of employees and workers on safety programs.
• Ensure risk assessment conducted for new process changes, new chemical introduced and modification at respective department.
• To co-ordinate with operation and maintenance team for the use of PPE’S as per standard requirement.  
• Ensure safety equipment’s should be workable and maintained as per specific requirements.
