Job Summary
Serves as a senior application engineer responsible for complex engineering systems, cross-functional process support, and high-impact system enhancements. Acts as a key liaison between business stakeholders and IT to ensure solutions meet operational, technical, and compliance needs.\
Work Mode: Hybrid
3 days WFO and 2 days WFH.
How You'll Create Impact
Key Job Duties
- Lead analysis of complex business processes and define functional requirements for application solutions.
- Own or co-own major system enhancements for Windchill, Vault, and related engineering platforms.
- Evaluate engineering change workflows, product data structures, and integration points to improve system design.
- Lead UAT efforts and support deployment readiness for significant system releases.
- Oversee data quality, governance, and migration-related activities for engineering systems.
- Develop advanced SOPs, training content, and support models for end users and support staff.
- Mentor junior engineers and senior technicians on systems, workflows, and problem solving.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on system standards, priorities, and improvement opportunities.
Areas of Competence
- PLM/PDM Systems: Advanced knowledge of Windchill, Vault, and other enterprise engineering applications.
- CAD Integration: Strong understanding of CAD-integrated engineering data environments and associated business impacts.
- Business Process / Process Engineering: Broad understanding of PLM/PDM processes, ERP and QMS interfaces, manufacturing dependencies, and compliance-driven workflow requirements.
- Systems Analysis / Problem Solving: Ability to lead root-cause analysis and define sustainable corrective actions for recurring system, workflow, and data issues.
- Documentation / Training: Develops advanced SOPs, training content, and support models; mentors junior engineers and technicians.
- Software Tools: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365/Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience using Notepad++ and related analysis utilities.
What Makes You Stand Out
Preferred
- Experience leading or significantly supporting PLM/PDM application enhancements, configuration changes, or process improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience with engineering workflows, product structures, change control, and system governance.
- Experience partnering with IT and business stakeholders to define and implement system solutions.
- Experience mentoring junior team members or leading portions of testing, deployment, or support activities.
Your Background
Minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or relevant degree and 5 years of relevant experience.
