Job Description
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of qualified Chartered Accountants. Allocate responsibilities, guide their professional development, and ensure timely and quality deliverables from the team.
- KPI Management: Drive and monitor business KPIs across functions including Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams. Identify performance gaps and collaborate on improvement actions.
- Business Proposal Evaluation: Evaluate financial viability of new business proposals, CAPEX projects, product launches, make vs. buy decisions, and strategic investments.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting and monthly forecasting process in collaboration with department heads. Ensure alignment with strategic goals and accurate cost center planning.
- Cost Optimization: Partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, track benefits from continuous improvement initiatives, and validate cost reduction plans.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing/Plant, and Commercial) to ensure financial alignment, risk mitigation, and strategic decision-making support.
- MIS & Reporting: Prepare and deliver timely and insightful management reports, dashboards, variance analysis, and commentary to drive decision-making.
- Strategic Projects: Support key strategic projects including automation, digitization of financial processes, and implementation of financial controls.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Investor Relations: -Assist the executive team in crafting consistent messages on financial and strategic performance. Support preparation of materials for the Board of Directors and internal stakeholder briefings.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
- Chartered Accountant
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and data interpretation skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
- Experience of working in Pharma /Manufacturing
- Exposure to global business operations or multi-plant environments would be an advantage
