Job Description
Purpose
The Technician – OSD Packing (Primary) will be responsible for operating and monitoring blister packing machines (IMA PG C-102) on the primary side of the packaging line. This role has been introduced to support continuous operations of Blister in shifts.

Job Responsibilities / Deliverables
Primary Packing Operations
1. Set up, operate, and monitor blister packing machines (IMA PG C-102).
2. Ensure calibration of balances, correct machine settings, and perform batch start-up checks.
3. Conduct in-process checks to maintain product quality.
4. Perform minor troubleshooting to maintain machine efficiency.
Quality Compliance
1. Perform in-process checks such as blister count, cutting quality, tablet appearance, pocket formation, and embossing as per BPR.
2. Monitor rejections and minimize losses during batch runs.
3. Carry out cleaning activities and line clearance as per SOP before and after each batch.
4. Maintain hygiene and discipline in the packing area.
Documentation and Compliance
1. Maintain accurate and timely records in BPRs, logbooks, and equipment usage logs.
2. Execute Calibration, PM, cleaning and usage entries in electronic log.
3. Report deviations, malfunctions, or breakdowns promptly to supervisors.
4. Complete BPRs and logbooks online during operations, ensuring reconciliation of in-process and finished products.
Teamwork and Coordination
1. Coordinate activities of contractual staff to ensure smooth line functioning.
2. Provide training and guidance to junior operators and contractual staff as required.
Qualifications & Pre-Requisites
ITI, Diploma in Pharmacy, Diploma in Engg, B.sc.
Total experience of 4 - 7 years in Operation of Packing Machine.
Must be able to work in shifts as needed
Skills Required
Knowledge of packing lines blister packing
Good communication skills to communicate with coworkers & supervisors
High level of personal and work place hygiene and compliance.
Exposure to handling of electronic log.
