What you will do

In this role, you will lead the configuration, enhancement, and operational support of Veeva Vault QMS. You will translate business and quality process requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions and partner with Quality, Integration, Data, and Platform teams to deliver reliable enterprise quality capabilities in a regulated life sciences environment.

This role combines hands-on configuration ownership with solution design, integration enablement, controlled releases, validation support, and production sustainment.

Veeva Vault QMS Configuration and Solution Design

  • Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Veeva Vault QMS capabilities supporting deviations, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), change control, audits, complaints, and related quality processes.
  • Translate business requirements into configuration designs covering objects, fields, relationships, page layouts, workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and user actions.
  • Configure security models, roles, permissions, sharing rules, reports, dashboards, and notifications.
  • Manage configuration dependencies with Veeva Vault QualityDocs and support alignment across connected Vault applications.
  • Assess enhancement requests and recommend solutions that maintain quality process integrity, scalability, and ease of support.

Integration and Data Enablement

  • Partner with integration teams to define and support interfaces between Veeva Vault QMS, enterprise applications, data platforms, and downstream reporting solutions.
  • Contribute to API and integration service design, including data mappings, event handling, authentication, logging, monitoring, error handling, and retry mechanisms.
  • Support Veeva API integrations delivered through MuleSoft or equivalent enterprise integration platforms.
  • Validate interface behavior and data flows through end-to-end integration testing, issue triage, and production monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and reporting teams to enable reliable consumption of quality data.

Release Management, Validation, and Compliance

  • Own configuration migration and deployment readiness across development, test, validation, and production environments.
  • Use Vault administration, Vault Loader, configuration migration packages, and environment comparison capabilities to support controlled releases.
  • Perform release impact assessments and support testing, validation documentation, change control, and deployment activities.
  • Maintain configuration documentation and traceability to support GxP compliance, data integrity, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with platform and engineering teams on source control, CI/CD, and deployment practices using tools such as GitHub, Git, Jenkins, and Maven, where applicable.

Operational Support and Cross-Functional Delivery

  • Troubleshoot configuration, workflow, integration, and data issues and perform root cause analysis to support timely resolution.
  • Drive system enhancements and ongoing production sustainment while balancing delivery and support priorities.
  • Work closely with Quality teams, Product Owners, Business Subject Matter Experts, Architects, Data Engineers, and Integration teams to define and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in Agile planning, estimation, technical reviews, and delivery activities.
  • Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones and communicate technical issues, dependencies, and recommendations clearly.
  • Support AWS/cloud platform dependencies in partnership with architecture and platform teams.
