Production - Apprentice

Production OSD: Apprentice (ITI)

• cGMP & Safety Fundamentals: Undergo foundational training on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), factory safety, and oral solid dosage shop-floor discipline.
• Equipment Operation Support: Assist senior technicians in setting up, assembling, and operating core OSD machinery across Granulation, Compression, Capsule, and Coating stages.
• Cleanroom Gowning & Hygiene: Practice strict personal hygiene standards, proper cleanroom gowning procedures, and wear designated PPE for processing areas.
• Tooling & Machine Maintenance Support: Help assemble, disassemble, clean, and store tablet compression tooling (punches and dies) and machine change parts.
• Line Clearance Assistance: Support line clearance activities, area cleaning, and equipment washing (Type A/B cleaning) during batch and product changeovers.
• Material Movement & Staging: Assist in transferring raw materials, intermediate granules, and bulk tablets between processing rooms and staging airlocks safely.
• Logbook & Record Entry Learning: Learn to read equipment status boards and assist in recording real-time entries in equipment and room logbooks under direct supervision.
• In-Process Checks Observation: Observe and assist in executing basic in-process quality checks, such as visual inspection and tablet weight verification routines.
• Housekeeping & 5S Maintenance: Maintain general cleanroom order, workplace organization, and adherence to 5S standards across the production floor.
• Data Integrity & SOP Awareness: Attend regular training on shop-floor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and basic ALCOA+ data integrity guidelines.
