Purpose of Job

Upstream process development for biologics

Skill Required

Microbial/Mammalian upstream process development using small scale and pilot scale bioreactors
• Apply statistical approaches for process optimization (DOE, QbD) at small scale and translation of small scale results to process scale up
• Scale up of upstream processes to confirm process performance
• Experience of routine analytical techniques and analyse data following data integrity principles
• Ensure a healthy and safe working environment and comply to quality systems

Roles and Responsibilites

Design and execute experiments independently to develop and optimise cell culture/fermentation batch, fed batch and perfusion processes for Mabs and Non-Mabs with minimal supervision
• Support technology transfer activities for commercial manufacturing
• Work collaboratively with research teams such as Cell Line, Downstream, Quality, Analytical and recommend alternative solutions to upstream process development issues
• Report writing and good presentation skills

MSc / MTech

Relevant skills / Industry experience
