Job Description
Job Requirement:
Master’s degree in Life Sciences from Biotechnology/ CRO/Healthcare industry with strong experience in laboratory administration, end-to-end logistics and supply chain coordination, specimen accessioning, laboratory workflow optimisation, data and documentation management, biobanking operations, reporting, procurement and inventory control, and equipment maintenance
Procurement, Logistics & Inventory Management
- Partner with scientists and engineers to understand R&D requirements and source appropriate materials, instruments, consumables and services.
- Identify vendors, obtain competitive quotations, organise product demonstrations, and manage technical and commercial evaluations.
- Execute purchase orders, track shipments, ensure appropriate storage conditions, maintain documentation and coordinate payments.
- Maintain accurate stock records, inventory levels, logbooks and usage tracking for all laboratory supplies and equipment.
Laboratory Operations & Infrastructure
- Oversee daily operations of multiple R&D laboratories, ensuring uninterrupted, safe and compliant functioning.
- Support the establishment, expansion and fit-out of new laboratory facilities, including planning, vendor coordination and commissioning of state-of-the-art infrastructure.
- Manage laboratory utilities, IT systems, power backup, security, waste management and general facility services.
Vendor & External Agency Management
- Manage relationships with domestic and international vendors, service providers, and logistics partners.
- Coordinate registrations, certifications, customs clearance, duty exemptions, tax and regulatory documentation, TDS and compliance formalities.
Equipment & Asset Management
- Oversee installation, calibration, preventive maintenance and servicing of laboratory instruments, both in-house and through service vendors.
- Ensure high uptime and compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
Regulatory & Compliance
- Support and maintain compliance for cGLP and cGMP laboratories, including documentation, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and traceability of samples, reagents and biological materials.
Pre-clinical & Clinical Operations Support
- Provide operational and logistical support for pre-clinical and clinical studies, including sample movement, documentation, and coordination with external partners.
Financial & Management Reporting
- Track laboratory operating expenses, create budgets and projections, and prepare periodic reports and presentations for management review.
Facilities, Scheduling & Coordination
- Manage booking and utilisation of on-site and off-site laboratory facilities, specialised instruments and shared resources.
Coordinate courier services, shipment of biological samples and materials, and travel related to laboratory operations.
